Kristina Campbell, Co-owner/Instructor

I was introduced to Pilates in 1996, after sustaining a back injury. I used it to rehabilitate and strengthen my body. I became a firm believer in the benefits of Pilates when my back pain completely vanished after 3 months. I continued practicing Pilates and in 2002 I decided to turn my passion into a career. I completed The Pilates Teacher Training Certification at A Body of Work in San Francisco. I have continued my education through the years by studying withrenowned Pilates Instructors: Kathy Grant, Nora St. John, Cara Reeser, Rael Isacowitz and Suzanne Martin.

Over the years I have worked with a variety of clients who have had different goals and needs. I enjoy working with clients, who need to regain mobility and strength afterinjuries. I love working with pre- and post-natal clients. I also have a lot of athletic clients, who are here to enhance their athletic performance, whether it be running, cycling or golfing. Each individual challenges my ability as a trainer and encourages me to learn.

Nothing is as exciting and rewarding for me as watching the movements sinking into a client's body, the moment it just happens without the client thinking about it. It's like baby's first steps! You can see the work we have done in class slowly integrate in their everyday life, making them stronger and creating better posture. I love to challenge my clients to find that inner strength, they may not realize they have. I do have one requirement of my clients: we must be able to laugh. I believe fun should be a part of every Pilates session.
